Is this site old enough to sell a rebuild?
Paste a prospect's URL. We read their homepage and show you the specific, checkable signals that date the build — the kind you can name out loud on a first call.
Built for web designers and local SEO freelancers. This is for checking someone else's site.
We fetch the page once, from our server, and read its HTML. We don't run its scripts, keep a copy, or tell the site who asked.
What this checks, and what it doesn't
Every signal here is something you could find yourself by opening the page source — this just does it in one go, and groups the findings the way a freelancer actually thinks about them: how old is the build, does it work on a phone, and is anyone still tending it. It reads the homepage only. It doesn't score the site, measure its speed, or grade its SEO — there are good tools for that, and they're built for the business owner, not for you.
- Is this a website audit tool?
- No. Audit tools score a site for the person who owns it. This one qualifies a prospect for the person who might rebuild it — which is a different question with a different answer.
- How do you decide a site is outdated?
- Thirteen signals in four groups: age (legacy jQuery, Flash, pre-CSS tags, table layout, old doctype), mobile (no viewport, no responsive CSS, fixed-width container), maintenance (stale copyright, versioned asset URLs, query-string URLs, no HTTPS), and — on Canadian domains — market fit (no French version). We show you which fired and what each one means, so you can judge it yourself.
- Does it work on every site?
- No, and it says so when it doesn't. Sites behind a firewall block the check, and sites that build their pages in the browser have nothing for us to read. In both cases we tell you rather than returning a clean verdict we can't stand behind.
- Is it actually free?
- Yes — twenty checks a day, no signup, no email. The paid product is the one that finds prospects for you in the first place.
